COMMON QUESTIONS
What do you need from me? +
A short written brief. No interview, no call. Tell us what happened, who is involved, what makes it newsworthy, and who you want to reach. Most people complete it in ten to fifteen minutes. The exception is a Media Attribution Story, which runs on a guided interview of about twenty minutes, since we are writing a full article rather than a document you distribute.
Which format do I need? +
A press release announces something that has happened or is about to. A media advisory invites journalists to an event, with the who, what, when and where they need to decide whether to attend. A media pitch approaches one specific reporter with a story idea built around their beat. A media attribution story is a finished article that smaller outlets can publish as their own. If you are announcing news and want coverage, start with the release.
Do you send it to journalists for me? +
No. We write the piece and hand it to you with full ownership. Distribution is yours, whether that is your own media list, a wire service, or a direct approach to a reporter you already know. We are not a distribution service and we do not place stories.
Do you guarantee media coverage or views? +
No, and anyone who does is overpromising. What we guarantee is strategically crafted content that gives you the best possible odds of being read, shared, and remembered.
My news is happening tomorrow. Can you work faster? +
Not at the moment. A media advisory takes one to two business days and a release two to three. If your timing is tighter than that, order anyway only if the piece still has value after the fact, otherwise wait and plan the next one with more runway.
What is your refund policy? +
Cancel any time before you submit your brief for a full refund. Once your brief is in, writing starts immediately, so the piece is not refundable from that point. Two revision rounds are included to get it right. Media Attribution Stories run on an interview rather than a brief, and the same applies once that interview is submitted.
Will anyone know I used a professional writer? +
Only if you tell them. We never disclose involvement under any circumstances. Publish it anywhere, under your name, without conditions or attribution.

Do you write in languages other than English? +
